Synopsis
When a male massage therapist unexpectedly faces his ex-lover
during a usual massage session, the massage session is a
spiraled revelation of truths and secrets.
This is our second short film, titled “Effleurage.”
In a dimly lit neighborhood spa, Diego, a massage therapist, faces the most perilous night of his life. His ex-boyfriend Liam, unpredictable and bruised by life, storms in, holding up the spa without knowing Diego is on duty. As fate would have it, they’re separated by a thin curtain from other masseurs in the massage area.
Diego freezes upon recognizing Liam’s voice, while Liam stiffens with a mix of shock and anger. The tension builds through their hushed, emotionally voice-over dialogue, echoing through the walls as the spa operates oblivious to the drama unfolding. Memories, regrets, and blame are exchanged like invisible blows.
